Event Details

What: Join us for NYU Stern’s first ever "AnTANGo," a funky founders & MBA's panel, followed by cocktail mixer, powered by TANG & Antengo (=AnTANGo:).

TANG is changing the way NYU thinks about the convergence of new technology and media, both new and old forms.

Antengo is re-inventing classified listings for mobile users by creating an on-demand, location-based mobile marketplace for peer-to-peer buy/sell/barter/trade/rent "microlistings."

Hosted by NYU Stern’s TANG and EEX clubs, local VC's sit side-by-side with founders of six hot startups (in LBS, mobile commerce, curated news, social fundraising, and music/event discovery) to share insights and answer questions.  The discussion  will also touch on how MBA talent can be a game-changer to a successful launch.

There will be a 47.5 min moderated panel, followed by 30 min for audience questions, culminating with a casual mixer at Swift Bar (located at 34 E 4th St)

NYU Stern's Technology and New Media Group (TANG)

TANG is the Technology and New Media Group at New York University's Stern Graduate School of Business. We are home to over 200 Stern MBA students who are focused on technology and its impact on business. Our members come from all disciplines (finance, marketing, operations, creative and management) and share a passion for technology, new media and the evolution of commerce.

TANG's goal is to provide members with:

  • Networking opportunities with fellow students, alumni and industry leaders
  • Job search assistance, and
  • Educational opportunities about technology.

In general, TANG organizes several events each year. Among the most popular are:

  • New York Tech Trek: TANG members visit the technology departments of Manhattan’s most prestigious companies, as well as some of the hottest companies in Silicon Alley and the New York area.
  • Bay Area Tech Trek: TANG Members visit the Bay Area to meet with CEOs and top managers of leading technology and media companies.
  • Tang Talks: where the student body learns from itself – a series of panels by students, for students, on tech-related topics of importance and interest.
  • Special Speakers: Hear from the CEOs and top managers who are at the forefront of the technology business.
  • Alumni Events: Foster the creation of an extensive network of current students, alumni and recruiters who are passionate about technology and new media.
